Ohhhh yes. Lovely hormones, possibly premenopausal skin issues Nina. My skin and my hair became extremely dry and yet had occasional breakouts which I never had even in my teens.. I entered menopause in my 40s and now in my late 50s I believe I am exiting menopause! The only positive thing with Menopause was that I no longer suffered through my monthly period.
I had every symptom that came with menopause:
Couldn’t sleep at night
Hot flashes day and night
Weight gain around my belly
Skin and hair issues
You name it I had it!

Since my 40s i quit putting foundation on due to hormonal skin issues. I use a gel based primer and do concealer under my eyes then i finish off with a setting powder lightly after. Its been a gamechanger. My skin feels more fresh and my acne isnt happening as often. Also washing makeup brushes and using brushes rather than sponges to apply makeup. Sponges cant be cleaned properly and harbor bacteria making skin prone to acne as well

Can you please show how to use makeup to give your eyes a lifted look. One of my eyes turns down on the corner and I hate how I look. What can I do so that it’s not so noticeable. I’m very self conscious of it along with the very deep under eye wrinkles. Every trick or product that I use only makes my wrinkles worse.

Hi Beautiful! Nina, the breakouts you have, especially the one on the lower right that’s inflamed, looks like Hidradenitis Suppuritiva (HS). I know because I have it. Especially if they’re painful & that inflamed. You can Google it, but what happens is that bacteria fills up in sacs under the skin. Doxycycline, an antibiotic, is what I take & it works. 100mg twice a day. You can also put cool compress on it to calm the inflammation which is caused by the bacteria. It looks like either HS, or Cystic Acne. Ask your Dermatologist about the Doxycycline & what I’ve told you here. I know how painful they can be! This is a fantastic video! Yours are ALWAYS #1 !!!!! ❤❤❤

I have had breakouts like that!! Then I started doing chemical peels with salicylic acid. Have not had inflamed breakouts like that ever since!!!

Sounds like you may be experiencing hormonal acne. In my mid 40s I had this same experience and was placed on Spironolactone by my dermatologist. This medication worked for me, I'm still using it at age 48. I never had acne but this was painful, large under the skin bumps that seemed to never go away!
