Don't put eyeliner in your waterline. You have glands in there that can get clogged very easily. They need to be open to keep your tear flow from evaporating. They secrete oil which helps with this issue.

I keep my under-eye naked. I'll even strip off mascara. I use the darker colors higher up because it tricks the viewer into thinking there are no dark circles. At most I line the inner rim, but otherwise it's all about the upper lids. Though I line the outter upper smoky to balance with my hooded eyes more and use less shadow close to the nose. If I want softer than black, I line first with black cream…then smudge with color. But I also have long lashes naturally, so even at 44 I don't need much help there…just a really good undereye gel.

Thank you for the vid, little Sister. I stopped doing bottom stark eyeliner at abotu age 50. Im 67 now. I do love purole or navy gel liner. Mist times i just usr a powder eye shadow ; kinda moisten the brush lime upu just dhowed us. My nighest thing right now is tje dang hateful dark círculos around my eyes. I look like a racoon. Or, worse yet like i got in a fight and lost🤣🤣🤣. Im seriously thinkin of going in for laser in tje future, but gotta save up. Insurance woll not cover cosmetic stuff. Thank you, nonetheless. Ageist and wrong. Why 40? this should apply to all ages. Actually, black looks nice with gray eyes. Also, white doesnt mean older age. There are middle schoolers with white hair and older ppl without. Its genetic.

Here's my two cents, based on decades of observation. When women put dark eyeliner UNDER their eyes, it AGES them! Makes your eyes look smaller and colder, harsher. I strongly urge women & girls to try just lightly lining the top eyelid and see what you think.

I hate 40 and 50 and 60 and 70 and 80 year old women who wear tons of eyeliner and 2 inch long eyelashes they think it makes their eyes pop and look bigger it doesn’t it makes them look like they’re in a cave it makes them look smaller.

Waterline application can cause plugged oil glance that moisten eyes.. dry eyes are painful.. once damaged it is irreversible damage. Sign dry eyes.

ITS TRUE, Not everyone CAN wear eyeliner but when you know how to apply it and YOU MUST have the eyes for it, its stunning. We can choose to look washed out or not. Not everyone likes the washed out look either… we are all individuals its best not to take someone down while trying to lift self up~Neutral shadow is best, colors are too blah… I think there is NOTHING more unattractive than eyebrows overdrawn dark and harsh. Whoever started that trend and those who follow, its too groucho marx for me…
