Prioritizing Wellness To Preserve Your Joy As A Black

Getting up, getting outside and getting your body moving is a surefire approach to improve not only your physical health but in addition your mental, spiritual, emotional and overall wellbeing.

The Wellness House experience on the 2022 ESSENCE Festival of Culture heard a gaggle of energetic and provoking ladies within the health and wellness industry take a deep dive into the subject of Black women and the enjoyment that comes from prioritizing our wellbeing. Moderator Kelle Edwards was joined by Black Girls Run CEO Jae Elle Alexander, Outdoor Afro CEO Rue Mapp and Black Girls Do Bike CEO Monica Garrison, who each shared the work they do through their organization and the way incorporating outdoor physical activity into their wellness routine has enhanced each of their lives.

Take a look at the video above to listen to the conversation in full. For more of every part you missed on the 2022 ESSENCE Festival of Culture, visit our official video content hub HERE.
