Old gold flower and leaf shapes crafted into sheath dresses and angel wing sleeves, teamed with black tights embellished with gold 3D detail: stunning! A fab look on stage or red carpet. Lots more bling and boldness in swing coats and giant flower appliqués: joyful if you’re in the mood. A few pieces, for me, fell into silliness and tried way too hard. It’s the risk you take with this much glitter. The models wore everything very well. The collection was much better than the setting – overcrowded, and didn’t anyone think to cover that horrible radiator?! It was probably difficult to make a good video crushed in among such an audience; but nausea-inducing fast intercutting and failure to give enough time to view an outfit are amateur errors. What a shame the video didn’t do justice to the designs.
