Glitter eye shadow, colourful liner, neon hair and sparkling gems — Coachella goers channeled “Euphoria”-inspired beauty looks at this 12 months’s festival in April. Greater than ever, faces and bodies were covered in rhinestones. They were on hair parts, chests and belly buttons but most framed the eyes with winged crystal jewels, pearl stickers and freckle-like temporary tattoos. AFROPUNK will host its first-ever takeover of a performing arts center in Latest York City next 12 months. The music and media platform is partnering with the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts on Black HERSTORY Live, a two-day multidisciplinary experience of music, art, poetry, dance, and performance art going down February 24-25. To spotlight Black fashion designers, Shopify’s Construct Black team and AFROPUNK collaborated on July 13 to present a fashion exhibition. The Construct Black x AFROPUNK Black Fashion Accelerator is a comprehensive program created to support nine up-and-coming Black fashion designers in developing their skills and expanding their brands in a cutthroat market.
