Hate Floral Fragrances? Ellis Brooklyn Florist Perfume Might Change

The primary line on the web site’s copy for Ellis Brooklyn Florist Eau de Parfum exclaims that the scent “is a celebration of citrus floral.” On paper, because of this the fragrance is a celebration of my two least favorite categories of perfume. But two things drew me to call in a sample anyway: For one, it was created in collaboration with DSM-Firmenich principal perfumer Frank Voelklwho also worked on my two other favorite Ellis Brooklyn scents, After and Sun Fruit. Cos Bar Takes Over Shen Beauty’s Former Brooklyn Store

Shen Beauty’s Brooklyn location has been snapped up by one other beauty retailer: Cos Bar. Passersby will spot signs posted within the window that Cos Bar will likely be opening a location at 138 Court Street, in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, this holiday season, stocking brands including Sisley, Dr. Barbara Sturm and Augustinus Bader. That is Cos Bar’s first Brooklyn store, and its second in Latest York City after Brookfield Place in downtown Manhattan, which opened back in 2014. Ellis Brooklyn Reveals Million Investment Round – WWD

Fragrance brand Ellis Brooklyn has closed a $9 million Series A investment round led by enterprise firm REDO Ventures. Ellis Brooklyn was created in 2014 by Bee Shapiro, a former attorney and longtime Recent York Times beauty columnist and launched on Sephora.com two years later with 4 high quality fragrances that focused on sustainability. The brand makes fragrances, candles and private care products and is carried at Ulta, Nordstrom, Bluemercury and Credo, and internationally at Mecca, Liberty London and Space NK. Bestsellers include Myth Eau De Parfum, $108, Sand Fragrance Body Mist, $45, and Florist Eau De Parfum, $108.
