The mind behind Monday Haircare is at it again. Jaimee Lupton, who founded the “liquid gold” hair care business that has since gone viral and brought in lots of of tens of millions in sales, is bringing one other brand to the usbeauty market. Called Osāna, the brand is supposed to democratize premium body and hair care — à la Monday, but grown up, founder Jaimee Lupton said — with shampoos, conditioners, body washes and body lotions. Prices are under $10. Ulta Beauty Has Invested in AI Hair Care Technology
Ulta Beauty’s digital innovation fund Prisma has invested in Myavana, a beauty-tech business that uses AI hair care technology. Tech entrepreneur and founder Candace Mitchell Harris developed the technology in 2012 to research the variables of hair strands and hair products to provide personalized hair care plans meant to support healthy hair and hair growth.  As a component of the strategic partnership, Ulta has unveiled a recent Virtual Hair Evaluation tool, which integrates Myavana’s technology and enables consumers to realize a comprehensive understanding of their hair type and receive personalized product recommendations. Kathy Ireland has partnered with Luminess on a technology-focused offering of skincare products. The collaboration, dubbed “Kathy Ireland Beauty [Heart] Luminess,” will debut this month on kathyirelandbeauty.com. It entails Kathy Ireland-branded iterations of Luminess’ Kinetic Skin Toning Device and its accompanying Kinetic Skin Treatment Serum, along with Luminess’ Airbrush Skincare Device and its complementary serums.
