Moschino Staging fortieth Anniversary Show in Milan in September
MILAN — Moschino is planning a fashion show to be staged in Milan on Sept. 21 that can mark the brand’s 40th anniversary. The event during Milan Fashion Week is conceived to pay tribute to “the remarkable achievements” of founder Franco Moschino “and his enduring legacy,” said the corporate. Stylists Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Katie Grand, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and Lucia Liu will spearhead this season’s collection, each creating 10 contemporary looks inspired by the works of the late designer. Moschino has not yet announced a successor to the newest creative director, Jeremy Scott, who exited the brand in March after 10 years. Moschino Opens Door to Its Recent Renovated London Store
LONDON — Moschino’s London store between Recent Bond Street and Regent Street has had a renovation and it’s open for business as usual. The London flagship has undergone a clean and minimal facelift with the Italian fashion house’s quirks still intact, similar to the juxtaposition of geometric floor designs with Botticino marble and dark green avocado stone sourced from Brazil; buttery yellow-lacquered wood shelves; custom lighting bars in matte brass; Roman columns changed into seats and product displays, that are an homage to the brand’s founder Franco Moschino, who built the tables in his heyday.  “The Moschino London store renovation is a strategic rollout of our latest store concept. Moschino GM to Exit Brand
MILAN — It’s a time of changes at Moschino. After the exit of creative director Jeremy Scott last week, general manager Stefano Secchi is parting ways with the style brand. The split is going down by mutual consent, the corporate said on Wednesday, and is effective on Friday. The rationale for the departure was attributed to divergent views over the strategy for Moschino going forward.
