Mia Mottley/ Twitter.com Vice President Kamala Harris met with Caribbean leaders in Washington, D.C., to debate details of a latest partnership meant to deal with a few of the region’s most pressing needs, including access to finance, food production, energy security and climate change. The September 15 meeting at Blair House included the leaders of 5 Caribbean countries: Prime Minister Mia Mottley of Barbados, Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley of Trinidad and Tobago, President Irfaan Ali of Guyana, President Luis Abinader of the Dominican Republic and President Chan Santokhi of Suriname. Meant for girls older than 50, the brand’s Visible Repair range will probably be launching in Rite Aid with three stock keeping units, including a facial serum, a day cream and an evening cream, each priced at $24.99. Black Boy Knits Wins 2022 DHL Logistics in Fashion
DHL and the Council of Fashion Designers of America, have chosen Black Boy Knits because the winner of the 2022 DHL Logistics in Fashion Award. Black Boy Knits will receive a $15,000 grant to further its business internationally and mentorship opportunities from each organizations. Black Boy Knits is an independent design studio founded by Jacques Agbobly throughout the height of the pandemic in 2020. Their goal is to focus on Black, queer and immigrant narratives and its cultural contributions through a global-focused lens. The studio focuses on creating unique pieces on a made-to-order basis.
