The Fragrance Foundation honored one in all its own last week for its annual Circle of Champions event, inducting the organization’s president Linda Levy into the ranks of Leonard A. Lauder, Sephora’s Artemis Patrick and L’Oréal’s Carol Hamilton.
The industry showed up in full to support Levy. Fragrance Foundation chairman Jerry Vittoria hosted the event, while attendees included executives similar to LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s Tricia Butler and Givaudan’s Matthieu Befve, to the numerous indie founders Levy has championed during her tenure. Those include Ellis Brooklyn’s Bee Shapiro, The Phluid Project’s Rob Smith and The 7 Virtues’ Barb Stegemann.
Past collaborator and friend to Levy, artist Rebecca Moses said Levy has “electrified [the category] by crossing over with those who would never have been involved earlier, like artists and photographers. “She’s brought in so many incredible indie brands to the forefront,” Moses said.
Added Lori Singer, president of Parlux, “Linda is a forward-thinking leader who has made significant contributions to our cherished industry.”
