Jay Chou Is La Mer’s First Male Ambassador, Fronts
La Mer has named its first male ambassador. The Estée Lauder Cos.-owned luxury skincare giant has tapped the Taiwanese singer Jay Chou, referred to by fans because the “King of Mandopop,” as its latest ambassador. “Jay Chou brings an incredible dynamic energy to La Mer. Along with his highly lively profession and a youthful approach to skincare, we're excited that our partnership with Jay will help to encourage a recent generation to embrace the ability of self-care and confidence,” said La Mer brand president Sandra Fundamental via email. Chou’s first campaign with the brand will feature the Treatment Lotion, an essence that retails for $190. PARIS — Fifteen years after Dior Ceaselessly’s introduction, the inspiration brand could have a latest campaign featuring Anya Taylor-Joy and Yara Shahidi on the Salk Institute, WWD has learned in an exclusive preview. Taylor-Joy and Shahidi are each Dior ambassadors representing women’s fashion and sweetness. The campaign was directed by Damien Krisl and photographed by Camilla Akrans. In 1959, physician Jonas Salk, who developed the polio vaccine, turned to architect Louis Kahn to create the Modernist research facility with daring lines he envisioned within the La Jolla community of San Diego, Calif. Bioré is the newest beauty brand to tackle mental health. The Kao-owned skincare brand has unveiled a mental health initiative, dubbed the “Get That S–t Out” campaign.
