Clariant to Purchase Lucas Meyer Cosmetics From IFF for
PARIS ­— Swiss chemicals company Clariant has agreed to accumulate Lucas Meyer Cosmetics, maker of high-value lively and functional cosmetics ingredients, from International Flavors and Fragrances for $810 million. The deal is reminiscent of a 16.3-times multiple, based on Lucas Meyer Cosmetics’ earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization reported in August 2023. Lauren Perez and Allie Glines’ Brand Incubator Raises
FounderSix, the influencer beauty brand incubator behind Allie Glines’ Ravie Beauty, Alex Renee’s Ary World and Lauren Perez’s Anablue, has gained a recent investment. The incubator, which was founded in 2020, has raised $12 million from KD Capital. The firm has previously invested in OkCupid, ShopRunner, Spot Hero and Teleon Health, amongst other corporations, in accordance with its website. “We’re quite different from brand incubators in the wonder space. Fragrance brand Ellis Brooklyn has closed a $9 million Series A investment round led by enterprise firm REDO Ventures.  Ellis Brooklyn was created in 2014 by Bee Shapiro, a former attorney and longtime Recent York Times beauty columnist and launched on Sephora.com two years later with 4 high quality fragrances that focused on sustainability.  The brand makes fragrances, candles and private care products and is carried at Ulta, Nordstrom, Bluemercury and Credo, and internationally at Mecca, Liberty London and Space NK. Bestsellers include Myth Eau De Parfum, $108, Sand Fragrance Body Mist, $45, and Florist Eau De Parfum, $108.
