Il Makiage Parent Company Launches SpoiledChild Wellness Brand
Oddity, the parent company behind Il Makiage, has made its second strike in beauty. The corporate, which counts strong technological capabilities as its key differentiator, is launching its second brand on Wednesday. Called SpoiledChild, the brand will launch directly on its website with 17 refillable stock keeping units across hair care and skincare, priced from $45 to $95. Europe’s Buzzy Indie Skin Care and Wellness Brands Not
PARIS — A spate of European indie skincare and wellness brands haven't yet made it to the U.S., but are ripe for the stocking by retailers there. Consider indies because the mice that roar, and the numbers prove their bite. Indie skincare sales last 12 months within the U.S. were especially strong, equaling $9.1 billion, a 14 percent year-on-year increase. That followed on from 11 percent growth in 2022. This week, the Global Wellness Summit released its annual Way forward for Wellness report, written by journalists, analysts, doctors, economists and concrete futurists. The Global Wellness Institute, a 501(c)(3) aiming to advertise worldwide wellness, also presented findings from its report, “Health, Happiness and The Wellness Economy: An Empirical Evaluation.” The report showed positive correlations between wellness spending and happiness, in addition to wellness spending and life expectancy.  The Way forward for Wellness 2023 report compiled 12 key trends that the GWS expects to drive the $4.4 trillion category this 12 months.
